BandAids
Welcome to the BandAids. What is the Bandaids, you ask? Let me explain. We are the parent booster organization for the Mountain Ridge High School Band. That is the official title. We are actually a small army of volunteers that can immobilize to handle any situation handed to us. We are the hands on group that you see at every event helping the band members get from point A to point B, all together, and with all their equipment in one piece. We can be seen in the stands at football games handing out water or crawling underneath the bleachers retrieving a dropped mouthpiece. We are seen pushing equipment onto and off of the field during pre game and half time performances. We attend all the competitions as Chaperones, we are the last minute seamstress, the fast food worker, the gopher, the truck driver and loader, the personal assistant, the instrument repair person, but most of all, we are the proud parents of band kids!
This is not just a group that’s active during Football season. We do fundraiser's all year round as well as work on little, and sometimes not so little projects through out the year. The money we raise goes to help subsidize activities and purchase many smaller items the bands budget does not allow for.
We are always in need of volunteers and have a long list of activities you can sign up for during the year. You can download that list from the forms page. Also, if you have a special skill such as wood working, welding, sewing, car mechanic, etc, we can use you. This is a great opportunity to be involved in your child's life, but don’t let that scare them. There are so many students and we are so busy, you really never get a chance to ‘embarrass’ them.
We meet on the second Wednesday of every month in the band room at 6:30pm to plan our activities and get direction from Mr. Hattendorf.
